LIMITED 3 YEAR WARRANTY
This aquarium has a 3 year warranty from the date of
purchase against glass to glass leaks
due to defective materials or workmanship. This warranty
is limited to the repair or replacement
of the aquarium only. Repair or replacement option is at
the discretion of the Manufacturer.
Warranty does not cover loss of fish, personal injury,
property loss, labor costs, shipping costs,
damage arising out of use of the aquarium. This warranty
is non-transferable and valid only if
original purchase receipt is provided.
THIS WARRANTY IS VOID:
If ownership has transferred, If the original purchase
receipt is not presented, If the aquarium is
modified or altered in any way, If the aquarium sized
between 1 US gallon and 224 US gallon was not
installed on a flat, level, industry approved stand that
is designed to support the size and weight of the
aquarium, If the aquarium sized between 225 US gal and
larger was not installed on a Concept Aquarium
metal stand, or a Structural Engineer Designed and
Approved stand, If Aquarium Set-Up Instructions
were not followed (see below), If the tank is moved when
not completely empty or pulled, pushed or
carried by placing pressure on bracing or trim, If
pressure or weight is placed on the tank top bracing,
or If the aquarium is used for anything other than it's
intended purpose.
AQUARIUM SET UP INSTRUCTIONS:
It is very important to
install aquariums properly.
Failure to do so may result in damage to your aquarium
and voiding of your warranty.
Aquariums with a water volume up to 224 gals with
length up to 6’; must be placed on Industry approved
stand, or a Structural Engineer designed & certified
Stand. Aquariums with a water volume over 224 US gallons
and with a length over 6’; must be placed on a Concept
metal stand or a Structural Engineer designed &
certified stand. Aquariums with widths greater than 30”
and/or heights greater than 30”; must be placed on a
Concept metal stand or a Structural Engineer designed &
certified stand.
Floor and stand surfaces must also be flat, level and
designed to support the size and weight of the aquarium.
Take leveling readings (with a carpentry level) in all
directions (length and width) of the tank and the stand.
Leveling should be done using industry standard
carpentry shims. Refer to your carpenter or local
building supply store for advice on the shims and method
of installing them. If your floor is very unlevel,
consult your builder or carpenter and position your
aquarium in a different more suitable location. Shims
should never be installed directly under the aquarium
bottom.
For Metal Stand installations: Solid sheet of plywood
and high density foam must be placed in between tank and
metal stand. Use a minimum of 1/2” high density foam and
½” solid plywood (not OSB) on tanks with lengths (less
than) < 5’. Use a minimum of 1” high density foam and ¾”
plywood (not OSB) on tanks with lengths (greater than) >
5’. Use 1” high density foam and ¾” solid plywood (not
OSB) on any tank with a width and/or height of 3’or
greater.
For Wood Stand installations: Solid sheet of high
density foam must be placed in between tank and wood
stand. Use a minimum of 1/2” high density foam on tanks
with lengths (less than) < 5’. Use a minimum of 1” high
density foam on tanks with lengths (greater than) > 5’.
Use 1” high density foam on any tank with a width and/or
height of 30” or greater.
Fill the aquarium with Cool Water only. WARNING! Hot
water will crack glass.
Never install high intensity lighting directly above
glass braces. The intense heat from high powered
lighting can crack glass braces.
Do not lift, push or pull the aquarium by applying
pressure to the trim or the bracing. Do not put downward
pressure or place weight on the tank bracing.
Aquarium should not be placed on or near electrical
appliances (such as TV’s or Stereo Units, Computerized
equipment, etc.)
Clean or Dry aquarium glass with non abrasive cloth or
industry approved cleaning tools.
If the aquarium is hot or cold from shipping
temperatures, allow the glass to acclimatize to room
temperature before filling.
If unsure about weight bearing strength of your floor,
consult with a builder, architect or engineer.
Sumps and Filter Tanks should sit on a level surface
with a layer of plywood and/or high density foam. (The
same plywood & high density foam thickness instructions
should be followed for filter tanks as stated above for
tank installations)
For DRILLED Aquariums:
Bulkheads must not be installed until the tank is
sitting in place on stand, according to install
instructions above.
Do not over-tighten bulkheads.
Do not exert sideways, upwards, or downwards pressure on
bulkheads and/or plumbing fittings. If you exert
pressure, you may crack the glass. Properly fit plumbing
parts should never have to be forced into place.
Never attempt to relocate an aquarium with the bulkheads
installed. Bumping an installed bulkhead can crack your
tank.
IMPORTANT TIPS FOR RECEIVING & UNCRATING AQUARIUM
SHIPMENTS
There are specific procedures that need to be followed
when receiving and unloading your aquarium. These
instructions are for your protection. Shipping companies
are very one sided when processing claims, if the
following instructions are followed it is harder for
them to deny shipping damage claims.
RECEIVING ORDER FROM TRUCKING COMPANY:
- Be prepared for your shipment arrival. The tracking
information was provided to you and you can track the
shipment via the internet or by calling the freight
company.
- If your crate is too large or too heavy for a Power
Tail Gate to lower the shipment to the curbside, have
the proper lifting equipment on site for when the truck
arrives. Ideally, the crate should be delivered to a
loading dock or a fork lift with the proper length of
forks should be onsite. (Any questions regarding
weights, crate size, etc. refer to your shipment
information, or please call us)
- The proper manpower should be on site to assist with
the unloading, etc.
- Trucking companies typically drop off the shipment and
do not stick around for the shipment to be inspected. If
possible, open packaging (even partially) while the
driver is still onsite. (Please note: Drivers can bill
extra if they are detained more than 15 minutes for
shipments 0-2499 lbs, and 30 minutes for shipments
between 2500-5000lbs) It is absolutely imperative that
if you are unable to open the shipment in the presence
of the driver, you must carefully inspect the packaging.
If there is even minor exterior damage to the packaging,
write on the shipping receipt documents “may be broken
due to packaging damage, received subject to further
inspection”. If the packaging is obviously damaged, also
write the same statement on the shipping documents, but
more importantly try to open the packaging immediately
before the driver leaves your store. Any damage to the
shipment must be reported to us immediately via phone or
fax. NOTE: Pictures are required of the packaging and of
the broken item in its damaged state before it is moved
off the shipping crate/skid. Any damages reported after
the tank is moved will not be considered ‘shipping
damage’. Shortages or order discrepancies must be
reported within 24 hours of the receipt of goods.
UNCRATING AQUARIUM CRATES:
Your aquarium will arrive to you in a 4 sided wood
crate, or a cardboard/plastic wrapped skid (all
International shipments are in wood crates). If you’ve
ordered a metal stand, it will be strapped to the top of
the wood crate.
- Remove Metal Stand from the top of the crate by
carefully plying off the wood cross braces. The stand
can then be lifted straight up and off the crate.
- Using a crow bar, gently pry open the top of the
crate, then pry off each of the crate plywood sides.
- The tank will then be exposed with only the 2x4 wood
frame around it. Carefully pry off the top frame and
then the sides frames.
- The tank is ‘blocked in’ from moving during shipping
with small wood blocks. Carefully pry these off so that
the tank can be moved side to side or front to back.
- Glass moving ‘Suction Cups’ should be used to move
large heavy aquariums. If you do not own Suction Cups,
they can be rented from most Glass Companies.
- Lift the aquarium up and off the skid (with the use of
suction cups) and on to a wheeled dolly appropriate for
the weight and size of the aquarium. The dolly base
should be carpeted or covered with smooth surface.
- The aquarium should be dollied to its permanent stand,
and then with an electronic lifting apparatus or
sufficient manpower be lifted up on to its stand. (Note:
refer to Aquarium Set Up Instructions)
NOTE: DO NOT LIFT, PUSH, PULL, OR PUT PRESSURE ON THE
BRACING OF AQUARIUMS. DOING SO WILL DAMAGE THE INTEGRITY
OF THE AQUARIUM.
PLEASE CALL US WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS IN REGARDS
TO RECEIVING, UNLOADING, MOVING OR INSTALLING YOUR
AQUARIUM.
