SPECIFICATIONS OF ALL CONCEPT AQUARIUMS:

• Concept Aquariums are constructed out of the highest grade clear float glass
• We use glass thickness that meets or exceeds the requirements of the water volume
• Our glass thickness exceeds industry standards
• Bracing style for Base tanks is Middle Style. Euro is available at no extra charge ifrequested upon placing order (some exceptions apply).
• All aquariums come with a written 5 Year Limited Warranty. Our warranty does notrequire purchase of our stands
• Our tanks have high quality injected or extruded trim. Trim color is black.
• Aquariums can be constructed using your preference of clear or black silicone.

SPECIFICATIONS OF ALL CONCEPT REEF READY AQUARIUMS:

• Concept Reef Ready aquariums come standard with a glass overflow box with a high grade black acrylic overlay, making the contents of the overflow completely obscure
• Overflow chambers are constructed out of thick glass (10 to 19 MM thickness) resulting in an integral strength that exceeds industry standards
• Drain holes are sized according to tank volume and optimal water flow
• We offer more than one bracing style (see Options section of this catalog)
• Euro Bracing is included for no additional charge (some exceptions apply)
• Starphire Glass options are available
• Several overflow styles are available (see Options section of this catalog)
• Aquariums with Overflow Chamber work great for freshwater systems as well, providing exceptional filtration capabilities and ease of maintenance.

OUR AVAILABLE TANK OPTIONS

STARPHIRE GLASS OPTIONS

Starphire Glass is the clearest of all glass. It has a higher visual and light transmittance than traditional Float Glass. It gives a 'pristine' look, almost like the glass isn't even there. There is an up charge for this upgrade. It is most common to offer Starphire Glass on the 'viewing' panels of the tank (IE: Built in aquarium would have Starphire Glass on the front viewing panel only).  Please call one of our Sales Representatives for a quote on adding Starphire Glass to your clients tank. BRACING OPTIONS
In larger aquariums, Bracing is very important to the integral strength of an aquarium. At Concept Aquarium Systems Inc., we exceed aquarium industry standards with our style and thickness of bracing. Our tanks will not 'bow' like some aquariums on the market today.
Bracing thickness and width is adjusted according to tank volume and water pressure.
In most applications, Euro Bracing is offered at no additional charge.

EURO BRACE:
Euro Bracing is the most sought after bracing style by aquarium enthusiasts. Euro Bracing offers the most accessibility into the aquarium for servicing and decorating.It's open design eliminates any hindrance of light penetration, making it the perfect choice for Planted or Reef Tanks. The perimeter bracing width is approx. 3"W.
Note: Euro bracing is not suitable for 'hang on' filtration due to bracing width.

MIDDLE BRACING:
Middle Bracing is considered your Traditional Style Bracing. It has a very small
perimeter brace with an approx. 10-12" wide center brace.

STAGGERED BRACING:
Staggered Bracing has bracing across the top of aquarium in smaller spaced out
sections. Each brace section is approx. 8-10"W depending on the tank volume.

BRACELESS:
If an aquarium fits within certain size restrictions, No Bracing, may be an option.
This style is requested in open water room dividing designs. Polished edges
are required for this bracing style.

TRIM:
Concept Aquarium Systems Inc. trim the top and bottom of aquariums with a high quality extruded or injected molded trim. The trim color is black.
Most aquariums ranging in lengths of 24" - 48"L are trimmed with a one piece trim.
Most aquariums ranging in lengths of 49" & up, are trimmed with a mitered trim.

OVERFLOW CHAMBER DESIGN OPTIONS
Overflow Chambers provide the most effective and efficient way to filter an aquarium.
They are normally used with 'open' systems (i.e.: sumps).

Concept Aquarium Overflow Chambers are constructed out of a thick MM glass and then an overlay of high quality black Acrylic is applied overtop of the glass. This gives the overflow box the integral strength like no other in the industry. Our overflow chamber will never warp.

We offer the following Overflow Designs:

• Box Corner (2 sided) * Across End (1 panel)
• Box Back Panel (3 sided) * Internal Cup (4 sided)
• Corner Triangular (1 sided) * External Cup (4 sided)
• Centered End Panel (3 sided) * Central (4 sided)
   

BOX CORNER:
Standard design for most tanks is the Box Corner Overflow Chamber Design. Single overflows are placed in the back left corner of the tank. Dual overflows are placed in each back corner of the tank. Other positioning available upon request.

BOX BACK PANEL:
Overflows can be positioned on the back panel of the glass. This style is popular for tanks that are viewed from the front and sides.

CORNER TRIANGULAR:
Overflows can be positioned at an angle in the corners.

CENTERED END PANEL:
Overflow boxes can be centered on one or both end panels. This style is popular for room dividing aquariums.

ACROSS END PANEL:
Overflow dividers can be placed across the entire end of a tank. This style is popular for 'built in' room dividing aquariums, when the overflow chambers are concealed behind the millwork.

CENTRAL OVERFLOW:
Tanks that are viewed on all 4 sides can be constructed with a central overflow.  Tank width should be a min of 30"W and 50"L to accommodate such an overflow.  An extra bulkhead hole can be installed in the overflow for the lighting power cords, keeping all equipment concealed and contained underneath the tank.

INTERNAL CUP OVERFLOW:
Another option from the full length overflow box, is the Internal Cup Overflow.

EXTERNAL CUP OVERFLOW:
Another design that completely conceals the overflow box is the External Cup Overflow.  The aquarium is 'notched' and the overflow box is mounted on the exterior.  This style works great for built in aquariums.

DRAIN and RETURN LINES
Concept Aquariums are designed for optimal water flow. Each Drain and Return Bulkhead is assigned according to tank volume. (Drain = water transported to filtration;Return = water returned back to the tank)

STANDARD CONFIGURATION - Standard configuration included both the Drain and Return bulkheads to be enclosed within the overflow chambers. This makes for a neat installation.

INDEPENDENT RETURNS - If additional Return lines are required, additional Returnscan be included in the Overflow Box, Drilled in the tank Bracing, or Drilled into a side or end panel.

CLOSED LOOP:
For additional internal water flow, without the use of unsightly power heads, we offer the Closed Loop. A Closed Loop pulls the water from the tank and returns it to one of more locations. A Close Loop can be positioned in the back panel, end panel, or bottom panel.

DURSO DRAIN KIT:
Concept Aquarium Systems Inc. supplies a Durso Drain Line Kit for all sizes of Bulkhead drains. The Durso offers a quiet delivery of water to the sump filtration. They are easy to install and maintenance free.

PLYWOOD MOUNTING
For large installations, we offer Plywood Mounting. We mount the bottom panel of glass on top of plywood. In most situations, the plywood is concealed underneath the tank bottom Trim. This option is recommended when the tank is to be installed
on a metal stand, the tank is large, or the tank is to be transported.

COMPRESSION BOARD
It is recommended that all tanks be installed with a layer of Compression Board in-between tank and stand. The compression board acts as a 'leveler' for stand or floor shifting.
